Sometimes the sky is the performance, the landscape the stage. I am just happy to be in the audience. Lindesfarne Castle is a National Trust site, well worth a visit. Seen here from Seahouses.
There are more ways than one of seeking Sanctuary on Lindisfarne, Holy Island. The island is famed equally for being a seat of Christian pilgrimage and for its tidal causeway. This abstract image is of the stilts platform on the causeway sands that act as a point of rescue for anyone stranded when the tides come flooding in
Elgol is one of the most challenging places that I have ever attempted to Photograph. Underfoot, the rocks are very slippery. The tides move quickly making composition difficult. The Cuillin Hills in the distance provide an incredible backdrop but cause rapid changes in the weather with clouds forming and then vanishing again just as quickly. That being said, this site is very special, the scenery is simply stunning, with all of the elements to make a brilliant photograph.
